West Oakville Preschool Centre has been in full swing these past couple of months! We hosted a beautiful Christmas Concert and had a visit from Santa himself! (We had a wonderful parent volunteer to be our Santa this year). The children had fun performing their songs on stage for all the parents and were rewarded with a special gift from Santa!
We are on our way to lowering the cost of daycare for the parents to $10.00 per day! Since November, when we opted in for the Canada Wide Early Learning and Childcare System (CWELCC), we have been gradually reducing the cost of our daily rates for daycare! Ms. Amanda has been very busy sending refunds to the parents that have been a part of our Centre since April 2022. This is such great news for our hard working families!
We have also been very blessed to have hired three more RECE teachers! The majority of our staff members are RECE’S! (Registered Early Childhood Educators). Please feel free to review the Staff Blogs in our Staff Member section. We are so happy to welcome Ms. Smriti in our Teddy Room and Ms. Santhana and Ms. Freedom in our Cubs program!
In other great news, our Daycare Centre recently received a “One time funding workforce grant” from the government! We have been able to purchase many things for the Centre, including a new projector and screen; (which we used at our Christmas performance); a new printer, paper shredder and monitor for the office, and we added some needed storage to our staff room and beautified it with some fresh decor and furniture!
The Staff are looking forward to a wonderful 2023!!
