Dear WOPC Families,

We hope this newsletter finds you in high spirits.

We are excited to share the highlights of the past months with you.

Playroom update:

This month the classes were able to return to their regular Suzie Sunshine classes, where the children enjoy singing, dancing, and learning new instruments such as shakers, clappers, ukulele, and triangles. In addition, Suzie Sunshine was organized by one of our lovely parents to come give the Bear Club and extra session for a student’s birthday celebration.

This month the classes also celebrated Valentines Day through arts and crafts as well as class celebrations on the 14th.

Playground Renovation Plan:

Coming this spring/summer we have received the funding to renovate the surface of our playground. Both the slide side and bike side of our playground will be receiving a rubber floor. The aim for this project is to provide a safer surface for the children to play on and help keep the playground clean. The pour-in-place rubber will be long lasting avoiding cracks and deterioration like concrete.

Completed Renovations:

The renovations of the washrooms are now complete! With funding received from the Halton Region, we were able to lower sinks and toilets and install new hardware to better accommodate our children’s needs.

A special thank you to Frank Silletti, Lucas, Mike and Lennox from KitchensRus as well as Ali and his team from Harb Plumbing for their hard work and special attention to ensure the safety of our little friends.

Warm Wishes

We are grateful for your continued support and involvement in our community.

Wishing everyone a happy Spring!

Warm regards,
Amanda Feng
