My husband and I enrolled our twins (who were 2.5 at the time) at WOPC in August and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. The twins had been home with me since they were born, and I was extremely nervous about how they would do being with strangers. Well Ms Kim and Ms Rachel have been great with them and they have really come into their own as kids. They absolutely love going to school and they talk about school on the days that they’re not there. Before going to school, they really only played with each other, but now I see them making friends everywhere we go and playing with other kids.
My husband and I enrolled our daughter in March of 2016 and it has been the most wonderful decision! She has grown and learned so much and looks forward to going to school each day. The teachers are fantastic and have been so instrumental in the strides she’s made and continues to make each day. It’s such a great comfort as a parent to know that your child is in such great care during the day. She’s now in the Panda Room and Ms Kim and Ms Rachel are amazing teachers and we are very lucky to have them! Thank you for all that you do (all of you!) and I hope you have a happy and healthy Christmas with your families!
Our son has been attending West Oakville Preschool since he started in their infant room and has moved up through their different rooms. He absolutely loves going and has grown and developed so much since he started here. The teachers are great and very warm. I was very impressed with how accommodating the infant room was when my son started. we already have our second child already registered to attend when I return to work. I would recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a great center.
My daughter is 2.5 and is in the panda room within Ms Kim and Ms Rachel who she loves. The centre has been a god send for me and my daughter has settled in really well and even tells me to go to work when I drop her off!
The main things that attracted to me the centre were the central location and the wonderful green space at the rear that the children have access to play in and explore.
I was given a tour by Ms Esra and she gave me all the information I needed. I was immediately struck by the friendly homely nature of the school. You can smell Ms Mendozas wonderful cooking, she’s the resident chef, when you walk in the door.
I was also impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the staff. Some staff members have been at the centre for a long time and it shows in their competence.
The children always have fun and stimulating activities planned for them and their crafts are displayed for the parents to see.
The centre also runs a program called HI MAMA. On their I pads they will take photos of your child during the day along with updates on eating and sleeping. You can either download the app or receive updates to your e mail. This is a great resource and very reassuring for parents new to the Centre in particular.
There’s always lots of time to talk to your child’s teacher and there’s a real feeling that they know your child and are invested in their well-being.
I can’t speak highly enough of the centre and would encourage anyone looking for quality care for their children to book a tour and see for themselves.
Brought my daughter to West Oakville Preschool Centre from the age of 16 months to 3.5 years old, before they had an infant room. We have been searching for a Centre and toured a few different ones, but nothing compared to WOPC. They have been around for over 25 years, have experience staff, extended hours, competitive rates and an amazing outdoor space for the kids to run around. This Centre is truly a hidden gem in Oakville.
Our son has been enrolled at WOPC since he was an infant/toddler and now at 3.5 years old we could not be any happier. The centre just went through a renovation and the place looks great! They also introduced a new app where we get live updates and pictures of our little guy’s activities throughout the day and a summary at days end. The staff are friendly and really care about the children. The centre has lots of green space and an outdoor play area. They make the food from scratch in their own kitchen and our little one eats dishes he would never try at home. The only downfall is he sometimes does not want to go home and wants to stay and play with his friends. LOL.
